Hello!

We hope you are all ready for the holiday season!  We have a few announcements that we would like to share with you!

Currently, Mike and Veronica are in Italy on their way to Spain.  They are visiting all of the top, award-winning producers in Spain!  Spain is to be followed by Tunsia and Greece.  Mike and Veronica are sourcing the freshest and best examples from every region of the aforementioned countries to share with you.

As many of you may already know, Veronica Foods Company and Mike Bradley are prominently featured throughout Tom Mueller's new and highly anticipated book Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil which explores the world of extra virgin olive oil.  Our own Mike Bradley contributed greatly to the research for the book and we cannot wait to share this book with you.

We will be getting a large quantity of the books and will begin making it available to you, our partner stores, as soon as it is released.  We have been given special pricing and will be offering the hardbound copy for $15 which is an amazing deal.  Your suggested retail price is $20.  As an added bonus, the first thousand books will be signed by Tom Mueller.  First come, first serve!  There will be an initial limit per store to five signed books (OS9010).  We will be keep you posted on availability, but look forward to this insightful and engrossing book!

Veronica Foods will also be sponsoring Tom Mueller’s book release on November 29th at UC Davis and flying in ultra premium extra virgin olive oils from the Northern Hemisphere for this event which will be available to you shortly!

Our Maple Dark Balsamic and Milanese Gremolata Infused Olive Oil are now available and selling quickly!  We have received great feedback on these new, unique products!  Yummy!!  Also, if you haven’t tried the new honey vinegars you are missing out!  Remember samples are always available to you!

If you haven’t already seen it on the blog we have a new California Arbequina (IOO322 $80)!  This oil was the first & freshest oil out of California. This estate-produced Arbequina was harvested extremely early based on UP specifications in order to capture the optimal chemical & sensory characteristics that our olive oils are known for. These olives were harvested & processed quickly at desirable low green fruit maturity index—responsible for both the extraordinarily low FFA (acidity) & peroxide.  This oil is slightly herbaceous, with medium pepper, low bitterness & fantastic complex balance.

Available next week we will have for the first time California Arbosana (IOO325 $80), and we believe this is the best Arbosana in California.  This oil has a rich, fruity, complex nose which is an amazingly fruity, creamy, grassy green oil with slight pepper.  We also have available now a very limited quantity of a small, artisanal, extraordinarily pungent, green, and peppery California Frantoio Verde (IOO282 $85).  Undoubtedly, this oil will be high in polyphenols.  First come, first serve!  In the next couple weeks we will be receiving more Northern Hemisphere oils—including the highly anticipated DOP Portuguese Cobrancosa—beautiful and floral, plus a host of others. 

Also, coming early December will be the 2 liter fusti & 1 liter decanter fusti gift pack (OS1012 $60) and the mortar and pestle (OS1026 $16).  Italy delayed our boat two weeks which is the reason behind the two week lag.

With the holidays approaching we want to again stress the importance of managing your inventory, placing your orders more than 5 days in advance.

Remember to ship UPS you must provide us with your own UPS account.  UPS orders must be submitted by noon to go out on the same day.

To reiterate what we mentioned in our October newsletter starting January 1, 2012 we will only be able to house 50% of your bottle orders.  Please be sure to plan accordingly.  Also, make sure Constance (cturpel@evoliveoil.com) must be copied on everything pertaining to bottles, store orders, returns, etc.
